Waiting for our furniture to arrive

You wouldn't think this would be a very exciting post but actually I wanted to document the work we did before the furniture arrived. We've been to Sutherland's (home supply store like Lowes or Home Depot) four times now and have joined their rewards club. All because we decided that it would be a good idea to paint the living room and dining room since we had two days before our furniture arrived.
We really had plans to paint more than just the two rooms but after two trips to the credit union, having the plumber out (we won't to get some lunch while he was working and he locked himself out of the house), and shopping for a refrigerator, microwave, and vacuum, and visiting with neighbors, we got started preparing to paint at about 1 o'clock Friday afternoon. We finished at about 10:30 pm Friday night (and are now huge fans of Pappa Johns Pizza who has delivered us dinner two nights in a row).
Here are some before, during, and after pictures.
The living room as it was when we first saw the house.

Including the dreaded wall paper trim at the ceiling

And the dining room "before"

Tommy very bravely tackled the removal of the wall paper ( we were afraid we'd have to paint over it):

And the finished product: dining room

Living room:

I'll post some more when we get the furniture in.
