Court wasn't in session today so Brie didn't have her "power suit" on.
One of the (many) things I love about Brie is that she is silly...
She's also beautiful...
As you can tell, the court room is at the top of the building and has a great view (even though I'm blocking some of it). This is the view from the lobby outside the 'en bank' courtroom where all of the judges here cases, sometime all together, which is why it's called en bank.
I took this one from the lobby too but it's basically the same thing Brie sees from her office window.
This is the courtroom with Brie demonstrating the speech she gives at the beginning of each court session. The judges come in through a (bomb proof) door between the two flags and sit in a semi-circle. The lectern is where those speaking to the court stand. Brie controls them with switches at her desk that give them a green light to start talking, a yellow light for "it's almost time to shut up" and a red light for "time to shut up now". Visitors sit behind the half-wall which is where I was standing when I took this.
Brie told me that once, when she was working with some law students from UMSL, she banged her gavel (yep, HER gavel, it even travels with her when she travels with the court on its circuit) so hard that they (the students) thought it was gun shots!

This is the other side of the bomb proof door through which the judges enter the courtroom after Brie announces them.
After the courtroom, she took me to the library (of course!). This is a bird's eye view of the new Busch Stadium (where the baseball Cardinals play) from the library.
And a broader view of the stadium which was built right next to the old one which was then torn down and left that big empty lot that you see.
It was great to catch up with Brie and to see where she works and meet her co-workers.
