The harvesting has begun in ernest. We picked the first round of sweet corn, a little disappointing but we know it's because we didn't thin the plants when we should have. I did thin the second round so we'll see whether that makes any difference in a week or two. The squash have slowed down but the cucumbers are still going strong. The green onions are good and I pulled up a single garlic because the stalk had died. Still,have a few potato plants in the ground as well.
Here are some pictures of what we picked this weekend before froze three quarts of green beans and two quarts of corn, and pickled two small jars of jalapeƱos.
