Last day in Corpus

Today was out last day in Corpus thanks to the movers who all of a sudden couldn't find a driver to take our stuff today, they put off picking up our stuff until tomorrow morning. BUT that meant we had some extra time to pack ( and not rush it which was nice for a change), to drive out to the beach and take one last walk, and to visit with our sister(-in-law), Paula. We were especially lucky on Paula because she was out of town until today and we would have missed her if we'd left this morning.

We were headed to Malaquite but were turned back by the ranger at the park entrance who said there was wildfire. Sure enough, we could see and smell it.

We spent the rest of the day packing. The kitties don't know WHAT to think! Here they are at the far end of the back yard this evening saying, "that's ok, really, we'll stay here...y'all are making way too much noise and fuss.
