House hunting

Well, today we learned that my favorite house (the white one) is too big for us as well as too expensive (and the owners, according to our real estate agent, are pretty well set on their price. Well, that is unless Mom and Dad want to come live with us now, ;-).

However, we liked the gray one very much even with only 1 and 1/2 baths. It's the perfect size and the yard is gorgeous. But, it was built in 1925 and Tommy thinks the (unfinished) basement is "spooky." It's nothing compared to the basement of Mom and Dad's house in Castleton (which Tommy has seen) but he still isn't comfortable with it (although I think the basement of the Castleton house is the only basement he's ever seen). He says that the outside needs more work that he can do/we can afford to have done and he's probably right but we'll keep it on our list until we see some more houses tomorrow.
