Here's a picture of the outside of the building. It's a bit hard to see but there are what look like a couple of small buildings to the left and right of the capitol building itself. These are entrances to the annex that was built to meet increasing needs for additional office space. The interesting thing is that the all four floors of the annex were built underground in order to retain the view of the original capital building.

I loved the chairs with the Texas star on them...

And, of course, the dome in the rotunda...

But the most fun was recognizing what a cool quilt I could make using the patterns from the tile floors in the capitol building!
