More catching up...summer travel I

Early in June I traveled to Palm Springs, CA for a conference. I didn't take a lot of photos but I did think that their new open-air airport was worth a couple of shots...

Above is the view as you arrive at the airport getting off a plane. Below is the gate area where you wait to board your flight.

And this was the view from the balcony on my room at the resort (at 6 am, the only time it was cool enough to actually sit outside!)

I'll say this for Palm Springs, it's the only place I've been where the "feels like" temperature (we call it the heat index in Texas) is actually lower than the actual temperature.
