Chicago!

I've been in Chicago since Friday at the American Library Association annual conference...along with about 20,000 other librarians. Despite the crowds it's been a fun conference. I spent most of my time in workshops and in the exhibit hall but had time for a couple of really delicious dinners as well. Here's some pictures...

Here's the view of the city from my hotel room on the 29th floor of the Marriott.

This is Soldier Field. We drove by it everyday on the way to and from the convention center and I thought Tommy would appreciate a picture.

The exhibit hall floor - always crowded! ALA's conference exhibits are HUGE with all kinds of vendors from databases to library furniture to book publishers and on and on.

Chris won a $10 gift certificate and a tote bag from Demco.

Me and the Cat in the Hat :-)

Tomorrow morning I'm off to Vermont for a week in Middlebury with my mom and dad. Cool weather here I come!
