...on me today. Not only did my boss agree (ok, it was actually her idea) that I should take a day off each week to work on my qualifying exam (you know, the one that's due at the end of March and that, if I don't pass, I don't get my PhD) but my entire department told me today that they agreed with that and they would take care of things at work so I could spend as much time as I need to on the exam. What a great bunch of people to work with!

I think I'm going to ask my boss for the same treatment- but Amber said no. Sounds like you have a good thing going.
