We went to the Denver Art Museum on Friday afternoon. Here's a far away view of it from across the square and through an arch.
Here's a closer view...
And here's a view of the art on top.
The DMA is one of the best museums I've ever been in. On each floor among the exhibits are seating areas with books and other material on the art work in each of the galleries on that floor. Also on each floor are activities for children. For instance, one gallery had a board full of close pictures of the feet in eight or ten of the paintings in that gallery. The kids had to find the feet in the paintings (you could get a hint by sliding the panel on the board to reveal the title of the work and the artist's name.
The Denver Public Library is spectacular too, it's right across the street from the museum.
And there's a big blue bear that guards the convention center!
