Just arrived in Denver today for the ALISE (Association of Library and Information Science Educators) and ALA (American Library Association) conferences. After checking in to my hotel I took a walk down the 16th Street Mall. There are lots of shops and restaurants and lots of people around including LOTS of police officers which is probably a good thing since there are also homeless people and panhandlers. Don't take that the wrong way though, it's lovely, bustling, and energetic. I walked by the Denver Mint and, of course, found Barnes & Noble! I love busy cities!
