Merry Christmas

What a nice Christmas! I finished my shopping for Tommy by 9 am on Christmas Eve. Then we went for a "hayride" in the back of the truck to look at Christmas lights with our neighbors and their kids. Imagine our surprise when, just as we were pulling around the corner, we saw Santa Claus!! The kids were very excited and we decided to go back to find out what was going on. Just as we suspected, when they went in their front door, the Brights found Santa in their living room finishing up his cookies!

Christmas day we opened gifts, ate a huge breakfast of biscuits, gravy, bacon, and eggs, and then I baked and cooked furiously so we could eat again! And have only injured myself once...a slight (ok, it was pretty uncomfortable at the time) burn on the palm of my hand which has healed quite nicely.

The highlight of the day is Tommy's gift to me: a slide show that he and Amber and Josh conspired on. It was all of the photos that Amber took of us at the beach at Thanksgiving set to Tim McGraw and Faith Hill's "It's Your Love". They (Tommy, Amber, and Josh) led me to believe that the photos at the beach were Amber's Christmas gift to us (Tommy and me)...which they were, a very lovely gift you can see at http://brightphotography.blogspot.com/2008/11/couple-at-beach.html...but they weren't the REAL gift. There were many more wonderful photos and, of course, Amber's magic, in the slideshow which she put on a DVD for Tommy who wrapped it up and put it in my stocking.
