The National Museum of Women in the Arts (written Monday, 6/25/07)

Once I found out that the National Museum of Women in the Arts was actually open on Mondays, I just couldn’t help skipping my last session today and dropping in to see their exhibit of Baroque and Renaissance paintings by women artists. It was wonderful…far better than “Fresh Approaches in Service Delivery: Linking Services and Users in Creative Ways” could possibly have been. I saw all of my favorite Artemesia Gentileschi paintings which really capped off the weekend (after seeing the Leonardo Da Vinci yesterday). Now I’m going to have to go back and reread the fictionalized biography of Artemesia’s life again!

There's a very brief promo video of the exhibit at http://www.nmwa.org/exhibition/detail.asp?exhibitid=151#
