San Jose!

Well, here we are in San Jose. We being my friend and colleague, Jennifer. The Fairmont hotel is gorgeous (ok, the shower head in our room is a little too low). Tonight we're hanging out in the lounge (think lots of big comfy chairs and free wireless internet access) checking email and eating hors d'ouevres for supper and anxiously awaiting the fabulous choclate dessert buffet put on by the conference hosts, Innovative Interfaces. The weather is cooler than we expected, in the 50's in the morning and evening and up to about 70 in the day but we planned for, um, well, Corpus Christi weather and are wearing sandals and light shirts. It was lovely at noon in front of the art museum where we had lunch but a little cool walking back from the convention center at 5:30 this eveing.
