Snow!

Well the snow is pouring down here in Kansas today, a far cry from the nice, dry (but cold) conditions that I drove home from STL in yesterday. The noon news said that we've had about 5 inches so far in Emporia and it's supposed to keep on snowing until about midnight!.

Tommy (and Willard next door) have taken their usual approach to clearing sidewalks and driveways: shoveling a couple of inches a couple of times is better than shoveling a foot once! I keep looking out the window to make sure they're both still standing because it's icy under the snow.

I actually drove in to work for about an hour this morning (about a mile and a half). After sliding right through a stop sign I decided it wasn't worth it and only stayed long enough to water my plants and let the few people who were there that I wasn't staying.

The worst part of this is that, once again, the snow's too light and dry to make a snow man!
